Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself
(I am large, I contain multitudes)

Sivi Ruder, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
(PSY 33181)
I believe we are remarkably resilient; have an innate ability to understand ourselves and to repair; are multifaceted and unique; and are made to live in connection. My therapeutic approach is informed by 50+ years of life experience.
Clients explore and set goals for their therapy. I also have goals and hold aspirations for all of my clients, and I am transparent and open about these goals and aspirations.
I believe a rich, beautiful, and sturdy life is lived:
With self-love and self-compassion
In relationship with others
With integrity and accountability
With high levels of peace and low levels of chaos
With courage, reflection, and joy
With a tolerance for messiness and imperfection
With ample nourishment, rest and restoration, movement, and pleasure
With awareness, acceptance, and integration of a complex whole self
With purpose and in service of individual higher good and humanity’s higher good
I became a clinical psychologist by way of leading wilderness trips with children, teenagers, and adults; teaching English in alternative and comprehensive high schools; doctoral training in psychology; and subsequent internships in Sonoma County (Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic, Chrysalis Community Counseling Services, West County High School Outreach Therapy, Hospice of Petaluma, and Memorial Hospice).
